Spinal Decompression Therapy
Spinal Decompression relieves pressure that builds up on the discs and nerves causing neck and back pain. The non-surgical task of relieving pain comes about as a result of drawing areas of herniated discs back into place.
Decompression therapy treatment accomplishes this by creating negative pressure within the disc, referred to as "negative intra-discal pressure." This essentially creates a vacuum to draw the bulging and herniated disc material back into the disc space to relieve the pressure.
As the ligaments that hold the disc material in place become stretched or torn due to bulging and herniation, decompression strengthens the ligament bands that hold the disc material in place to prevent future recurrence.
Our office is in Central Florida located in Metro Orlando, Lake Mary. Nearby cities are Sanford, Longwood and Orlando.

This therapy has an impressive success rate in treating patients with herniated and degenerative discs with only a 4% reoccurrence rate after one year.
Typically additional treatments are not required after the completion of the treatment protocol. However, as with any treatment there are always severe cases that involve particular job/lifestyle activities that may require re-evaluations.
