Paul Toma, DC

Chiropractic Physician

A native of St. Augustine, Florida, Lake Mary chiropractor Dr. Paul Toma earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Florida State University in Biology and Chemistry. Wanting to pursue a profession in the healing arts where people could get well without the need for drugs or surgery, he found a passion for chiropractic and completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where he graduated cum laude.

Dr. Paul studied his post-graduate education in Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP), a chiropractic technique focused on spinal and postural correction. He has completed all four examinations given by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He has also been certified by the Spinal Research Institute of San Diego in the area of spinal injury due to auto accidents, especially cervical spine injuries that result from whiplash trauma.

Dr. Paul founded Lake Mary Chiropractic Center in May 2000. Since opening he has enjoyed being an active part of the community by volunteering for Seminole County School Teach-ins, career days, and backpack safety talks; guest speaking engagements for local corporations, Radio Disney and fund raising for philanthropies such as the Lake Mary Police Department’s D.A.R.E. program.

Dr. Paul continues to serve the community by educating both children and adults about the importance of spinal health, wellness, and the prevention of back pain, headaches, and carpal tunnel syndrome. He is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association, Seminole County Lake Mary Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Better Business Bureau.

When he’s not helping patients in the office, Dr. Paul enjoys spending time with his wife Kelly, son Tyson and daughter Tori. Other favorite pastimes including surfing, weight-lifting, and mountain biking.

Monica Kim, DC

Chiropractic Physician

Originally from New England, Lake Mary chiropractor Dr. Monica Kim was born and raised in the southern town of Sanford, Maine. She attended The Florida State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Always wanting to pursue a career in the health field she decided to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. Dr. Kim obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2008.

As a student of Palmer Chiropractic she worked as an intern and was an active member of the Florida Chiropractic Association. Dr. Kim was a member of the medical team which participated in the Florida Senior Games Championship held annually in Lee County. She has also successfully completed the National Chiropractic board exams as well as The Florida Chiropractic Board examination. She is certified in Chiropractic Biophysics technique (CBP) which focuses on the correction of posture and spinal alignment.

Dr. Kim enjoys watching movies and loves to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends.

Shelinder Ramlochan, DC

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Shelinder Ramlochan was born and raised on the island of Trinidad and Tobago.  During this time, he witnessed several loved ones suffer through acute and chronic illnesses with little access to therapeutic or corrective care. Upon moving to the United States, Dr. Shel was introduced to chiropractic care by his cousin, Dr. Hass. After researching the benefits that chiropractic care could provide, Dr. Shel set out to become a Doctor of Chiropractic where he could lead a fulfilling life by helping others.

Dr. Shel attended the University of Central Florida where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree. He then attended chiropractic college at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. There he became the President of the Chiropractic Biophysics club and earned his basic certification in Chiropractic Biophysics before graduating. Chiropractic Biophysics (also known as CBP) is a corrective care technique which focuses on correcting the structure and posture of the spine. After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Shel moved to Idaho to advance his skills in Chiropractic Biophysics under the mentorship of one of the nations’ leading researchers, co-authors and instructors of Chiropractic Biophysics, Dr. Joe Betz. His time there underscored his passion for CBP, primarily for its focus on corrective care.

Dr. Shel moved back to Orlando to be closer to his family. When Dr. Shel is not in the office, he enjoys obstacle-course competitions, working out, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. He loves being active, participating in sports, skiing, hiking and his newest hobby, golf.

Desireé Ramos-Martínez, DC

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Desireé Ramos-Martínez was raised and born in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. Since she was little, she has always been interested in the medical field to help people suffering from different illnesses. However, her biggest inspiration for the chiropractic field was to be able to help his dad with his chronic condition and radicular symptoms that he developed after surgery.

Dr. Desiree attended the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez Campus and received her bachelor’s degree in industrial microbiology. Over this time, she worked as part of the research team in the Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Lab, where she worked with DNA Barcoding of Plants and published her first research paper. Dr. Desiree attended the University of Florida and received her master’s in Biomedical Engineering in Regenerative Medicine. After finishing her master’s degree, she decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Desiree attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida to pursue her doctorate in 2019. During her time at Palmer Florida, she emphasized her studies in upper cervical and Grostic Technique. During her clinic experience, she was the Chiropractic Teaching Assistant (CTA) for her mentor, Dr. B. Aponte, in module 2 at Palmer Chiropractic Clinics.

After graduating for her doctorate, Dr. Desiree moved with her husband to Sanford, Florida. She enjoys cooking, watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with her family. If she is on vacation, there is a high probability that you can find her in the Gozalandia waterfalls with her family in Puerto Rico.
